Pupils

GVAC offers opportunities to participate in combined events, also known as meerkamp. These multi-event competitions (athletic champs) – challenge young athletes across a variety of disciplines and are a great way to develop all-round athletic skills.

  • U8: you turn 7 next calendar year (mini-pupil)
  • U9: you turn 8 next calendar year (C-pupil)
  • U10: you turn 9 next calendar year (B-pupil)
  • U12: you turn 10 or 11 next calendar year (A-pupil)

  • U18: you turn 16 or 17 next calendar year (junior B)
  • U20: you turn 18 or 19 next calendar year (junior A)

Seniors: younger than 36

Language: Dutch but we’ll help you out in English if required.

Facilities: trainers, club headquarters next to the track with drinks, dressing rooms.

Volunteering: GVAC is run entirely by volunteers. As a member or parent, you may be asked to contribute – such as assisting at club events or training to become a coach yourself.

Interested?

Thinking about trying athletics or signing up for a trial period? Follow these steps:

  1. Fill out the registration form under the “Lid Worden” button completely. Choose the right “Wedstrijdatleet” (Competition Athlete) option based on the categories mentioned above. This will provisionally register you (or your child) with GVAC. Children can be registered from the age of 6.
  2. We will contact you as soon as possible to let you know when the trial period can begin. For the youngest age groups, there may be a waiting list, so it could take some time before your child can start the trial.
  3. After the trial period, if you or your child would like to become a full member, we will convert the provisional membership into a permanent one. You will only start paying membership fees from that moment.
